Millennium Mortgages was established in 1999 in Hull and has since expanded with a base in Huddersfield to offer professional but personal mortgage and protection advice to clients across the UK.

All of our advisers are fully qualified with vast experience and we have product specialists in all areas. They will provide a no obligation competitive quote that is well researched and bespoke to our customers individual requirements, whilst answering any questions they may have.

Our story...

Millennium Mortgages was founded almost 30 years ago in the Yorkshire market town of Beverley. Current owner, and experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser, Mark Thurman started the company to give the people of Hull in East Yorkshire guidance and advice on one of the most important decisions they’ll make. Mark’s ethos was, and still is, to offer a genuine, and personable service without any pushy sales tactics.

Since then, the team has expanded across Yorkshire with hubs in Driffield, Wakefield and Huddersfield, employing four experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisers. Each adviser is able to provide dedicated service and personalised advice to First Time Buyers, Home Movers, Switchers and Landlords.

As the business has grown, new co-owner Mike Plaster joined Millennium in 2020 and has helped Millennium to embrace the online technologies such as Teams and Zoom meetings that we are now so accustomed to, meaning the Millennium team can help customers across the UK secure the home of their dreams.

Although Millennium, and its team, have grown and evolved over the past three decades, the core values of the business still remain today. We strive to create partnerships with our customers, with the same dedicated broker working with you from the first introductory call until you pick up your keys or complete your remortgage.

Mark has been a Mortgage Adviser since 1991 and started Millennium Mortgages in 1999, the company has since expanded across Yorkshire and beyond.

Mike joined Millennium Mortgages as a Mortgage Protection Adviser in 2020 and has over 5 years’ experience.

Andrea joined us in early 2024. She has over 25 years experience in the construction sector as a data analyst, focusing specifically on the housing sector.

Lee has been with Millennium Mortgages since 2008. He arranges all of our existing customers’ review appointments when your mortgages is up for renewal.

For our advice services, we will charge a fee of between £199 and £999, payable at receipt of mortgage offer. (Range of fees available on request) Our typical fee is £399. We will also be paid commission from the lender. We will provide you with full written details of the basis upon which we will be paid for the Services we provide. This could include a payment from your mortgage provider and/or a fee we will charge you. We will not commence any substantive work for which we will charge you a fee until we have agreed the applicable fee with you and such fee is recorded in a binding Client Fee Agreement. We will not exceed any limits on any fee set out in the Client Fee Agreement without your Agreement. We will advise if it is appropriate to pay fees or charges in connection with the mortgage up front as opposed to adding them to the sum advanced under the mortgage contract. We will not commit you to an application for a mortgage where a fee or charge of any kind (receivable by our Firm or another party) is to be added to the sum advanced, unless you have made a positive choice to add the fee or charge to the sum advanced.
